Sectors

Industries We Review

Seventeen sectors where the Canadian market has depth, and where a company can evidence a real product, intellectual property or a verified resource asset.

Why These Sectors

Depth, Evidence and Precedent

We review sectors where three conditions hold: the Canadian market has an established base of investors and professionals who understand the business model, there is precedent for companies of that type entering the market through a Reverse Takeover, and a company can produce evidence a third party is able to verify.

Sector fit alone does not qualify a company. A business in a sector we review still has to meet our selection criteria — a verifiable asset, documented ownership, auditable financial reporting, capable management and a budget for preparation.

Outside Our Mandate

Sector Fit Is Not Enough

Regardless of sector, we do not review companies without a product, technology, licence or asset; single-idea projects; companies with opaque ownership; sanctioned parties; defence and military projects; speculative token ventures; or companies without a budget for legal, audit and corporate preparation.
