Technology & Growth Advisory

Turn technology into a viable business.

We help technology companies define their growth strategy, prepare for market and investor conversations, find partners and coordinate their next stage of development.

Start with your challenge. We’ll define the right scope together.

Expertise matched to a specific problem

Five areas of work. Each one answers a different question and ends with something you can act on.

01

Project Assessment & Strategy

“We have technology or a product, but it is not clear which next step actually pays off.”

An outside read on where the project really stands, and a short list of moves that are worth making before anything else.

Pricing depends on the complexity and scope of the task. Before any work begins we agree the scope, the timeline and the final price.

Technical review, security work, implementation, full market-entry support, Reverse Takeover engagements and ongoing advisory are quoted individually. Fees for external specialists are not included in the starting packages.

Approach

The problem first. Then the plan and the work.

No engagement starts with a proposal. It starts with understanding what you are actually trying to achieve.

  1. 1

We get to know the project

A conversation about what you have built, who it is for and what has already been tried. No form, no scoring, no registration. If it is obvious at this point that we are the wrong people, we say so here.

  2. 2

We define the problem and the scope

The question gets written down in one sentence, and the work that answers it gets written down next to it. Volume of materials, number of sessions and revisions, size of a shortlist, timeline — all fixed before anything starts.

  3. 3

We agree the plan and the specialists

If the work needs a lawyer, an auditor, a security specialist or an engineer, you see who they are and what they cost before they are engaged. Their fees are separate from ours and never buried inside a package price.

  4. 4

We deliver the stage and record the result

You receive the agreed deliverable. We go through it with you. Then you decide whether there is a next stage — the engagement does not roll on by default.

Industries

Where we work

These are the areas we review projects in. Specialist engineering and certification work is carried out by confirmed independent specialists.

AI & Software Products

Where the product actually creates value, which segment will pay for it first, and what a buyer needs to see before a pilot.

Example: a working model with no clear first customer — choosing the segment and the proof it requires.

Cybersecurity & Post-Quantum

Translating a security requirement into a scoped question, then engaging the specialists who can answer it credibly.

Example: an enterprise customer asks for assurance the team cannot yet produce — defining the review and commissioning it.

Robotics & Industrial Technologies

Which application segment is worth entering, and which partner makes a pilot possible at all.

Example: assessing application segments and finding a manufacturing or integration partner for a first pilot.

DeepTech

Long development cycles, hard commercial questions. What has to be proven, to whom, and in what order.

Example: protected IP with no route to revenue — mapping the licensing and partnership options.

Technology Infrastructure

Compute, data and the systems underneath other people’s products — where the commercial case is usually a question of contracts and capacity.

Example: preparing an infrastructure business for the conversations that precede a funding round.

What you receive

We have no client case studies to publish — the engagements that exist are confidential, and inventing numbers on a site about raising money would be a poor way to start. Instead, here is the actual shape of what gets delivered.

Example structure

Project diagnostic

  • Where the product stands commercially
  • The gaps that block the next stage
  • Two or three realistic options, with trade-offs
  • A 90-day plan with owners and sequence
Example structure

Roadmap to market

  • Positioning and the segments it is aimed at
  • The materials a buyer or investor will ask for
  • What to validate before spending on a launch
  • Decision points, not a fixed script
Example structure

Partner profile

  • What the right partner looks like, in writing
  • A researched shortlist with the reasoning
  • Approach materials for each candidate
  • Coordination of the conversations you agree to
Team

Who you will be working with

Two people. You will speak to one of them, not to an account manager.

Michael Nortman — Managing Director

Michael Nortman

Managing Director

Michael leads FLOWCAP’s engagements. He brings extensive international experience across investment and company validation — assessing businesses, technologies and assets in multiple jurisdictions, and determining which of them hold up under the scrutiny of investors, auditors and exchanges. His focus is separating verifiable substance from narrative before a company commits to a stage it cannot finish.

Nick Tubis — Financial Consultant

Nick Tubis

Financial Consultant

Nick advises companies on the financial side of growth and of becoming investable: capital structure, reporting readiness, cash planning through a preparation phase, and the financial story that investors and market professionals will test. He works directly with founders and shareholders from the first assessment onward.

Public Markets

Public markets — when a company is ready

FLOWCAP began in Canadian public markets and that work continues as its own practice. If a listing is the question, a Reverse Takeover assessment is a separate engagement with its own criteria — it is not a conclusion we reach from a strategy conversation.

Common questions

What stage of company do you work with?

Companies with a prototype, a product, protected IP, pilots or first customers. There is no revenue threshold for an advisory conversation. The public markets practice has its own, much stricter criteria, and they do not apply here.

Can we start with just one stage?

Yes — that is how the engagements are built. You buy one stage, you receive the deliverable, and you decide whether there is a next one. Nothing renews by itself.

How is the price decided?

The published ranges reflect complexity and scope. Before work starts we agree the volume of materials, the number of sessions and revisions, the size of any shortlist and the timeline — and the final figure sits inside that agreement. Work beyond it gets a separate proposal, not a surprise invoice.

Who does the technical work?

Confirmed independent specialists, under a scope and fee you see before they are engaged. FLOWCAP defines the question and coordinates the review. We do not run a laboratory, a security operations centre or a certification body, and we do not develop cryptography.
