Our Process

A Structured, Selective Process

Six stages from confidential application to preparation strategy. Most companies do not progress past the third, and we consider telling them so early to be the most valuable part of what we do.

01

Confidential Application

The company completes the six-part application and provides its core materials: pitch deck, financial statements, cap table and corporate structure where available.

✓Everything submitted is treated as confidential business information
✓Access is limited to the team members conducting the assessment
✓Nothing is shared with a third party without your specific consent
✓An incomplete application can be saved and resumed
02

Initial Screening

Our team reviews the sector, product, corporate structure, shareholders and stage of development against our current mandate.

✓Sector fit and the presence of a verifiable asset
✓Ownership transparency and preliminary sanctions screening
✓Stage of development relative to public-market expectations
✓Whether a preparation budget exists
03

Management Interview

A confidential meeting with founders or key shareholders. We are assessing capability and candour as much as the business itself.

✓Understanding of what public status actually requires
✓Willingness to disclose difficult facts unprompted
✓Clarity on why the company wants public status
✓Realism about timing and cost
04

RTO Readiness Review

Structured review of financial, legal, corporate and investment readiness, producing a specific list of gaps in order of consequence.

✓Corporate structure, share register and shareholder arrangements
✓Financial reporting standard and the likely effect of first-time audit
✓Intellectual property ownership and asset title
✓Governance capacity and board composition
05

Selection Decision

The company receives a decision on whether further work together is possible, with the reasoning behind it.

✓A direct answer, including where that answer is no
✓The specific reasons for the decision
✓Where relevant, what would need to change
✓No obligation on either side
06

Preparation Strategy

For selected companies, an individual strategy for preparing the business for a potential RTO transaction.

✓A sequenced roadmap with the most consequential work first
✓Advisory support through preparation
✓Introductions to relevant professional market participants
✓A defined view of what must be true before a transaction process begins
Submission of an application does not guarantee selection, financing, a transaction or a public listing.
Timing

How Long Each Stage Takes

Screening and the initial response typically take a small number of weeks. The readiness review depends on how quickly the company can produce supporting documentation — companies with organised records move quickly, companies reconstructing history from email archives do not.

Preparation itself is the longest phase and is driven almost entirely by the company's starting position. A business with audited statements, a clean holding structure and documented intellectual property is in a materially different position from one starting with management accounts and personally held assets.

We give a realistic view of timing during the assessment rather than a standard figure, because a standard figure would be misleading.
